Craniosacral Therapy Jackie Lowe, CST, CLEC Rebeca Hartwig, CST
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a light-touch treatment technique focused on releasing restrictions within the craniosacral system. This system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround, protect, and nourish the brain and spinal cord, as well as the attached bones. These areas extend from the bones in the skull, face, and mouth all the way down to the tailbone area. An imbalance or restriction within this system can cause sensory, motor, and/or neurological dysfunctions. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. The focus of CST is a gentle placement of hands to assist release of the body’s connective tissue, or “fascia.” Fascia (Latin word for “band”) is a covering found throughout the body including organs, glands, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, brain, and spinal cord. This therapy is thought to improve efficiency of biological processes through boosting inherent self-regulation, self-correction, and self-healing.
Anyone can benefit from craniosacral therapy. At our office, it is highly recommended that all patients who are undergoing orthodontic (ALF) treatment also schedule with either Jackie or Beca, as the ALF treatment is very complementary to CST. Also, mothers who are having difficulties with nursing/latch are recommended to schedule a session with Jackie. Because Jackie is a CLEC (Certified Lactation Educator Counselor), she is able to help with breastfeeding issues. CST is also extremely beneficial both before and after an infant’s lip-tie / tongue-tie procedure.
Jackie Lowe is a mother, wife, and lover of all things holistic and healing. With an educational background in occupational therapy, craniosacral therapy, and lactation counseling, Jackie’s mission is to provide nourishing support and healing to families so that they may be functioning at their highest levels.

Rebeca’s health journey catapulted to the forefront upon the delivery of her firstborn, Hollann. It was at this time that she took a deep dive into wanting to understand the human body and how it can exist in a state of harmony. Through her research into the Weston A Price Foundation, Beca watched her daughter blossom into a healthy, smart, little toddler. However, when her son Granger was born, Beca was at a loss as to how to help his persistent reflux. Upon a visit to Natural Smiles, Granger was evaluated for lip/tongue releases and Beca decided to give CST (craniosacral therapy) with Jackie a try. After one visit, Granger’s reflux stopped and Beca went home with a baby who began to be well. Beca then discovered a passion to pursue Craniosacral Therapy training, as she felt drawn to wanting to help people with healing hands, as her son was helped. Beca is now certified in Craniosacral Therapy through the training offered by Dr. Carol Phillips, with an emphasis on myofascial unwinding and energetic release. She is also a hygienist at Natural Smiles, and has a passion for holistic healing and ancestral living. In her free time, she enjoys books and podcasts centered around total body support; physical, mental and spiritual. She thrives on helping people become their best self! Beca’s life centers around their home in Cambridge MN, where she’s chasing around her young children, learning the ins and outs of homeschooling, and cultivating growth alongside building a future on their ‘healing homestead’.
